[ABSTRACT] Testing Effort Data & COSMIC Function Points-based Estimation Models

The talk will present an analysis of the ISBSG (International Software Benchmarking Standards Group) repository of software projects looking at testing efforts for software measured with COSMIC Function Points (ISO 19761 Standard).

Insights from test productivity patterns representing economies or diseconomies of scale and investigation of the characteristics of the corresponding projects will be presented. The talk will also compare estimation models built using COSMIC Function Points and IFPUG Function Points to explore the impact of these respective sizing methods on test effort estimation.
